    1. I don't think I've seen the fountain running in the better weather, it's on the list to check out this summer.

    1. Thanks JoAnn, it's a fun activity to hunt down the items on the list.

  3. Brilliant snowmen! I'm amused you have fake snowmen even in an abundance of snow!

    1. So very little of the kind of snow you need for building snowmen. That requires a bit of moisture in the snow to pack & roll. Even the dry fluffy snow has been absent this winter (so far, let's not tempt it).

    2. Now I want to check out Canadian snow. The snow on Hokkaido is the driest and prettiest I have ever seen - a real pleasure to walk in and on. (And it still compacts well for sculpting too.)

    1. This year it's all about the fake snowmen which have been really nice. There's something normal about wood snowmen.

  5. Those snowmen are great and so funny when you are surrounded by snow and we have none!

    1. As I've said to Lady Ella - this year it's all about the fake snowmen - very little snow & very little of the rolling/packing kind to make snowmen.

  6. I like the star. It has a lovely old "bought from Woolworths " feel about it

    1. The star was part of a community display & I think it was created by the committee, using a wood star form & stapling the tinsel to it. I saw it last week, it's looking very sad now.

  7. That star could be an entry for tinsel or star!

    1. Karen I had thought of using this star for star or tinsel but even outdoor lighting as it does light up at night. In the end it was the best example of star that I had found. You would think star would be easy.

    1. Thanks Miriam. I am just hoping that these snowmen don't get use for the weenier roast in the summer.

  10. I love the colours on the fountain, and the road sign is so different from the ones I'm used to seeing - and such a fun way to capture the 'arrow' The snowmen are rather cute too. Well done Mary-Lou
