  1. You've had a busy month, it's interesting to read what you've been up to. Don't you make new year resolutions?
Wishing you both a Happy New Year xx

    1. I don't make January resolutions although I always think of the New Year as my birthday in August & that's usually where & when I make my goals for the coming year. January is a review time.

  2. Super month in numbers Mary-Lou. Did you enjoy star wars? I loved it. I don't make new years resolutions as I feel it is setting up failure - I try to set a few goals instead to achieve/complete/do during the year.

    1. I am not sure yet what I really thought about the new Star Wars movie. Someone recommended that we watch the original 3 first (not the prequels) to introduce us or for Mr Man, re-introduce him. I like goals, I like ticking little boxes next to them as done.

  3. I'm so impressed with your ability to keep track of all these numbers---they tell a wonderful story of your month. I was totally determined to do a numbers project as part of my Christmas Journal. I even made a list that was on my desk, but I get busy and just forget to write them down. I'm hoping my OLW for 2016 will help me here.

    1. I have kept a cost of Christmas in my DD for a couple of years now, not in any Grinch way, but just to see how things change year to year. I also keep a record of the oddest gifts I see for sale - this year it was Monkey Butt powder; last year it was the auto (battery) ear wax remover.

  4. First off, that top photo is lovely. Makes me want to get my boots and gloves on and go for a hike (followed by mulled wine!)
Your numbers lists are always so eloquent in summing up your month. I can sympathise on DD travails - I'm struggling with my 12 posts now - not that I don't have ideas but blogging every day doesn't suit me. When I'm not in the mood to write I'm rarely satisfied with what I produce.
As to your penultimate entry - I say good! You can diet any time so celebrate while you can. Hope the instructor liked his cake again this Christmas.

    1. The berries on the bush are gone now, the birds love them. Ah the posting every day I'm not sure I would do again (last August. Riding Instructor asked if there was more cake - there is & he gets it so it gets out of my house!!!

  5. Too many calories consumed here too; but there's the rest of the year to be good.

As for the December Daily: whatever you've made I think you'll love whenever you come across it on the shelf next year, or the year after. The bits we see that we don't like? Nobody else notices!

    1. I knew this December was going to be lost to the diet or healthy eating plans. Thanks for the scrapping encouragement.

  6. Hello and Happy New Year Mary-Lou! Now everything's back to some kind of 'normal' today I'm catching up with your numbers!

Yours sounds like a really active and bustling December - your step-count is *amazing* - I can rarely ever reach that much promoted 10,000 a day total unless I'm on a day out where we're wandering round sight-seeing all day. I'm clearly doing something wrong!

I don't make resolutions either, I'm just going to continue my efforts to write, read and move more [though not necessarily at the same time!!].

As for the cinema going ... I went yesterday [to see a broadcast of a theatre production] and - as I only went twice last year - I've already reached 50% of my 2015 total. I must make a note of that for my January statistics!

You're safely tucked away on the board with the other 'number minders' as you fantastically named them - here: https://www.pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/

Wishing you a cosy and less hectic January [especially when you reach the end of your cat-sitting responsibilities!].

    1. Thanks Julie for tucking me in on the Pinterest board, I didn't know & now will go check that out. Timer set so I don't spend all day wandering Pinterest - oh the ideas, the fashion, the perfectly lived lives ...

  7. I think your steps total looks pretty impressive, given that snow! And what a kind and caring soul you are to be cat-sitting. Sending you warmest good wishes for 2016.
